2007 WSOP Event #54: $5,000 No-Limit Deuce to Seven Lowball with Rebuys

WSOP, 2007-07-06, by Ozone

Not many players know enough about no-limit deuce-to-seven lowball to justify coughing up potentially tens of thousands of dollars to play a tournament, but still, 78 players showed up for the WSOP $5,000 rebuy event. Unsurprisingly, the final table was loaded with recognizable names. Finishing atop the group to win the 8th WSOP bracelet of his career was Erik Seidel. The win also awarded Seidel with a hefty $538,000.

Former actor turned poker fiend Chad Brown finished second for $324,000. Sean Sheikhan, Wil Wilkinson, Andy Black, Freddy Deeb, and Todd Brunson finished 3rd thorugh 7th, respectively.

Seidel's 8th bracelet moves him into a tie with poker legend Johnny Moss. Above the two of them is Brunson and Chan with 10 apiece, and Hellmuth with 11.
