One Canadian plumber has a million reasons to be glad he plays online poker. Pacific Poker's World Poker Crown concluded in Barcelona last weekend. The event originated as an online tournament with a buy-in of $1,000+$50 and a guaranteed prize pool of $3,000,000. Eight lucky finalists were flown to Barcelona to compete for the top prizes in style.
In an all-Canadian heads-up final, Jack Hinchey defeated Michael Lawson to win the $1,000,000 first place prize. Lawson got $397,000 for second. The other six players were made up of three Dutchman, a third Canadian, as well as a German and a Pole.
